How to make your clothes last for years?
Have you just received your dream skirt and you don't know how to care for it? At SKYDANCE, we focus on high-quality materials - we want them to last as long as possible! And that requires proper care. It's not as complicated as it might seem - just stick to a few things and your clothes will be an inseparable element of your styling for years ♥
basics of care
1. Wash only when necessary
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to wear clothes after wearing them once! Frequent washing can cause materials to wear out faster and lose their colors. Hang clothes after wearing them to air them out - that is enough. Minor stains will come off with a little water, and you can always spot clean stains.
2. Check the labels
Each material requires a different approach. Therefore, always check the labels before washing - they will tell you what temperature is ideal for a given material, or at what high temperatures you can iron it.
3. Choose low temperatures
30°C is the ideal washing temperature for clothes! Choosing higher temperatures not only causes faster wear of fabrics, but is also not environmentally friendly. It is also worth choosing a low spin. Leave higher temperatures and revolutions for underwear or bedding.
4. Separate colors
It may sound trivial, but one mistake can cost you the beautiful color of your favorite blouse! We wash black with black, white with white, and we choose colors so that as many similar shades as possible fall into one wash.

Our materials
SKYDANCE products are made in Poland. We buy materials from Polish manufacturers, personally testing them before they go into production.
Before the finished product hits our website, we sew many patterns, check different cuts, and also give the prototypes many challenges - such as washing in difficult conditions, harsh ironing, or difficult to wash stains. They definitely don't have it easy with us - but at least we are sure that the clothes and accessories we offer will work for you in the most difficult conditions!
We use a lot of different materials, but the most important thing for us is always the choice of natural fabrics, such as cotton, viscose, bamboo fiber. We try to use certified materials as often as possible, such as organic cotton or Lenzing™ Ecovero™ viscose. We know very well how much our bodies suffer in artificial raw materials, so whenever we can, we decide on knitwear and skin-friendly fabrics.
Come, let me tell you more about our materials!

Cotton -
How to care for cotton?
Cotton clothes can be washed at up to 60°C, although the lower the temperature, the better. It does not stain, although we recommend sorting the laundry by color. You can tumble dry it on a mixed cycle or a cycle designed specifically for cotton clothes. Our knitwear does not usually need ironing, just hang it on a hanger after washing and it will straighten itself, but if you have to - do it on the wrong side.

Viscose —
Viscose is an extremely light, thin and airy material, which makes it a great choice for hot summer days. It is a synthetic material, but of plant origin: it is made from cellulose from trees. It is fleshy to the touch and gives the impression of cold.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™
ECOVERO™ certified viscose is ethically sourced - the cellulose used to produce certified materials comes from sustainably managed forests. Additionally, the processing of the material uses significantly less water and CO2. Our LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose is a thick, warm material, ideal for cool autumn days.
How to care for viscose?
We recommend washing regular viscose at 30°C and low spin. You can tumble dry it on "delicate" mode. Avoid fabric softeners. =
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ certified viscose performs best when washed on wool cycle or by hand - although it will not be damaged if you wash it with your regular wash on delicate settings :)

Polyester -
Let's be honest, polyester is not the best choice, both for us and the environment. That's why we do our best to reach for it as rarely as possible. It's a great addition to, for example, viscose, because it makes the material more durable and less prone to creasing. If we decide to use it, we choose a material with the highest durability.
The exceptional products include our iconic mesh tops, made of tulle. We also have a few skirts made of polyester - a significant part of them are leftovers from collections from years ago, they are available on a big promotion due to the availability of literally a few pieces.
We are not binary either and we allow ourselves to make deliberate exceptions for polyester, e.g. in the case of velour. If we know that the material is of excellent quality and works well for everyday wear - we are not afraid to reach for it. In the case of velour, your cost per wear will be counted in pennies!
How to care for polyester?
You don't have to worry about it at all. Wash it however you want, you don't even have to iron it. The materials we use are so strong that they will be resistant to anything. ;)
